Refreshing homemade lemonade just like you find at the state fair.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups cold water
- 1.5 cups granulated sugar
- 1.5 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 6–8 lemons)
- Ice
- Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine the cold water and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine.
- Taste and adjust sweetness and tartness as needed by adding more sugar or lemon juice.
- Fill glasses with ice.
- Pour lemonade over ice and garnish with a lemon slice.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- You can adjust the amount of sugar to your preference.
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for a colder drink.
