Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
