Description
This recipe guides you through making a delicious Pineapple Bacon Burger in the oven with a BBQ twist. It’s a sweet and savory burger experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices pineapple, canned or fresh
- 8 slices bacon
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Red onion slices
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into four equal patties.
- Place bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Place pineapple slices on a separate baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes, until slightly caramelized. Remove and set aside.
- Place burger patties on the same baking sheet as the pineapple (if space allows, or a new one). Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
- During the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush the tops of the patties with BBQ sauce.
- Toast the hamburger buns in the oven for 2-3 minutes, if desired.
- Assemble the burgers: Place a patty on the bottom bun, top with a slice of pineapple, two slices of crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Cover with the top bun.
Notes
- Adjust cooking time for burgers based on thickness and desired doneness.
- For extra flavor, you can grill the pineapple instead of baking.
- Feel free to add cheese to your burger during the last few minutes of cooking.
