- 2 lbs ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large pot.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 45-60 minutes, or until thickened to your desired consistency.
- For a smoother butter, carefully transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and process until smooth.
- Ladle hot peach butter into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
- Process in a boiling water canner for 10 minutes (adjust for altitude).
- Cool jars completely and check seals.

- Peach butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or frozen for up to 6 months.
