- 2 pounds frozen french fries
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped green onions, jalapeños, salsa
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the french fries according to package directions until golden brown and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and break it up with a spoon.
- Cook the beef until it is browned and no pink remains. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Remove the fries from the oven and spread them onto a baking sheet.
- Top the fries evenly with the seasoned ground beef.
- Sprinkle the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses over the beef.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add your desired optional toppings before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, bake them for a few minutes longer than the package suggests.
- You can adjust the seasonings for the beef to your preference.
