Description

Loaded Cheese Beef Fries are a delicious and satisfying snack or meal. Crispy fries are topped with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds frozen french fries
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped green onions, jalapeños, salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the french fries according to package directions until golden brown and crispy.
  2. While the fries are baking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and break it up with a spoon.
  4. Cook the beef until it is browned and no pink remains. Drain off any excess grease.
  5. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Remove the fries from the oven and spread them onto a baking sheet.
  7. Top the fries evenly with the seasoned ground beef.
  8. Sprinkle the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses over the beef.
  9. Return the baking sheet to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Add your desired optional toppings before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy fries, bake them for a few minutes longer than the package suggests.
  • You can adjust the seasonings for the beef to your preference.
  • Experiment with different cheese blends for variation.
