Description
Delicious meatballs in a creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground meat (beef, pork, or a mix)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and brown on all sides. Remove meatballs from the skillet.
- Add sliced mushrooms and chopped onion to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
- Pour in beef broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Return meatballs to the skillet. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cover. Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through.
- Stir in heavy cream and heat through.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- You can use any type of ground meat you prefer.
- Adjust seasonings to your taste.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
