Description
A simple and delicious pasta dish featuring tender chicken and crisp broccoli in a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or your favorite)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet.
- Add broccoli to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Add cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything in the sauce. Add reserved pasta water if needed to reach desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a lighter sauce, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Add red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
- You can add other vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers.
