Description
Fudgy brownies with a hint of Dr Pepper flavor, topped with a sweet Dr Pepper glaze.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Dr Pepper soda (for batter)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tablespoons Dr Pepper soda (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
- Add granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the saucepan. Whisk until well combined.
- Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in 1/2 cup Dr Pepper soda until the batter is smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Do not overbake.
- While brownies cool, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons Dr Pepper until smooth and pourable.
- Once brownies are completely cool, pour the glaze over them and spread evenly.
- Let the glaze set before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- Ensure brownies are completely cool before glazing to prevent the glaze from melting.
- For a stronger Dr Pepper flavor, reduce the soda for the glaze by simmering it until it’s a syrup.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
