- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss steak cubes with Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Add cooked penne pasta and steak to the sauce. Toss to combine.
- Season with salt to taste. Serve hot.
