- 1 pound linguine
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in chopped fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the spice level.
- For a thicker sauce, simmer for a few extra minutes.
- You can substitute other pasta shapes for linguine.
- Garnish with extra cheese or parsley if desired.
