  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Stir in chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  5. Stir in shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
