Description
Succulent lobster tails gently poached in rich butter for a luxurious and tender seafood experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lobster tails (about 6–8 oz each)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat the lobster tails dry with paper towels.
- Using kitchen shears, cut along the top of the lobster shell, exposing the meat. Gently lift the meat out and place it on top of the shell.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the melted butter. Stir to combine.
- Place the lobster tails, meat-side up, into the saucepan with the butter.
- Ensure the butter covers most of the lobster meat.
- Poach the lobster tails gently in the butter for 5-7 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through. Baste occasionally with the butter.
- Remove the lobster tails from the butter.
- Drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Do not overcook the lobster, as it can become tough.
- You can add other aromatics like thyme sprigs or a bay leaf to the butter while poaching.
- Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
