Description

Make whole wheat bread quickly and easily using a blender, no kneading required.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups warm water (110-115°F)
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 6 cups whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, honey, yeast, salt, and oil in a blender. Blend for a few seconds.
  2. Add 3 cups of flour to the blender. Blend until combined.
  3. Add the remaining 3 cups of flour to the blender. Blend until a dough forms. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
  4. Pour the dough into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Cover the pan and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Adjust flour amount slightly if needed to get the right dough consistency.
