Description
Make whole wheat bread quickly and easily using a blender, no kneading required.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 1/2 cups warm water (110-115°F)
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cups whole wheat flour
Instructions
- Combine warm water, honey, yeast, salt, and oil in a blender. Blend for a few seconds.
- Add 3 cups of flour to the blender. Blend until combined.
- Add the remaining 3 cups of flour to the blender. Blend until a dough forms. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides.
- Pour the dough into a greased loaf pan.
- Cover the pan and let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
Notes
- Adjust flour amount slightly if needed to get the right dough consistency.
- Store leftover bread in an airtight container.
