- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries, drained
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping, thawed
- 1 ripe banana, sliced
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Stir in the crushed pineapple, chopped maraschino cherries, chopped nuts, and vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until no streaks remain.
- Pour the mixture into a serving dish.
- Arrange the sliced banana over the top of the dessert.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a tablespoon of chocolate syrup to the cream cheese mixture.
- If you prefer a firmer dessert, you can chill it for 1-2 hours.
- Garnish with additional cherries or nuts if desired.
