Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, combine Parmesan cheese, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk the egg.
- In a third shallow dish, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dip each zucchini stick into the egg mixture, letting any excess drip off.
- Dredge the egg-coated zucchini stick in the Parmesan and flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated.
- Dip the coated zucchini stick back into the egg mixture.
- Finally, coat the zucchini stick with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated zucchini fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the zucchini fries.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can bake them a few minutes longer.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Feel free to add other seasonings like paprika or Italian herbs to the breadcrumb mixture.
