Description
Crispy fried mushrooms made in an air fryer, served with a cool ranch dip.

- 1 lb mushrooms, cleaned
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp olive oil spray
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, paprika, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 tsp salt.
- In another shallow dish, beat the egg.
- In a third shallow dish, place panko breadcrumbs.
- Dip each mushroom first in the flour mixture, then in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
- Arrange coated mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with olive oil.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While mushrooms cook, prepare the cool ranch dip: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, parsley, dill, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1/8 tsp black pepper.
- Serve crispy fried mushrooms immediately with cool ranch dip.
Notes
- For best results, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Adjust seasoning to your preference.
- The ranch dip can be made ahead of time and refrigerated.
